Laylush was founded in 2023 to reach lifestyle and adventure brands. I combine strategy, creativity, sales, and data to provide you with the best social media marketing solutions.

History
2008-2021
Track and field
Hi, I’m Rachel, a former NCAA Division II track and field athlete turned creative entrepreneur with a passion for storytelling through marketing, photography, and design.
My athletic journey shaped the foundation of my work ethic and drive. I’m a decorated track and field competitor, a Hershey Nationals qualifier and top-5 finisher in the 100m across North America. In high school, I was a districts and state finalist before earning an NCAA Division II athletic scholarship. During my collegiate career, I received USATFCCCA recognition, was named Athlete of the Week, became a 2x PSAC medalist (2nd in the 400m), and placed top 5 twice in the 200m. I also earned top 10 finishes at Division I Penn State meets.
2017-2021
Education and work
I attended Shippensburg University on a full business scholarship, graduating cum laude in 2021 with a BSBA in Marketing. During my time there, I worked with the marketing department managing official social media accounts, served as President and Speaker of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, and represented athletes as part of both the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Student Government Association (SGA).
Additionally, I’ve contributed to the fintech space, creating marketing materials and email campaigns for 401kinabox.
To strengthen my creative and entrepreneurial skill set, I pursued additional coursework in technical and professional communication, graphic design, and entrepreneurship, developing and presenting full business and marketing plans for my own brand concepts.
2021-2024
All things marketing
That same year, I launched my first merchandise business on Etsy, designing apparel and managing every aspect from production to social media promotion. What began as a project soon grew into a passion that I continue to share through TikTok.
In 2022, I expanded into freelance photography and videography, working with clients around the world. I also joined GAMS, where I helped develop social media, email marketing, event materials, and branding campaigns for 12+ magazine publications across industries such as agriculture, horticulture, sports, retail, and wholesale.
That same year, I began writing my first book of poetry, which went on to rank #4 out of 255,000+ books on Wattpad. I self-published, illustrated, and edited the final version — released in July 2024 in both paperback and ebook.
In 2023, I was recognized in Shoutout Arizona Magazine as a growing entrepreneur.
Always focused on growth, I’ve since expanded my expertise into lifestyle and travel photography, earning a professional certificate. My creative work has reached millions with my travel Instagram/TikTok pages receiving over 5 million views since 2024. Additionally, I became certified through SmartCoach to understand the full sales/marketing lifecycle of business through the lens of a multimillion dollar company. I gained valuable expertise in business development, social media sales funnels, and high ticket remote sales.
Today, I continue helping brands elevate their marketing strategies through content creation, research, sales, analytics, and visual storytelling that drives business and builds authentic connections.
Outside of work, I love staying active. You can usually find me lifting, running (naturally!), hiking, snowboarding, traveling, rock climbing, or writing. I’m passionate about becoming the best version of myself while inspiring others to do the same.
